There is a large selection of trails and routes for mountain bikers in Tesimo/Tisens and Prissiano/Prissian, including routes with low gradients as well as more challenging ascents. The entire family can use mountain bikes or electric bikes to take an extended cycling trip past natural monuments and sights.
A popular route for street cyclists in South Tyrol is the steep curved road leading to the Gampenpass mountain pass above the village of Caprile/Gfrill in Tesimo. From there, the route continues to the Mendelpass mountain pass and down to the Kalterersee lake.
Rental stations around Tesimo and Prissiano offer the latest equipment: mountain bikes, racing bikes and e-bikes. Many cyclists combine train and bicycle routes as bikes can be rented at many train stations in South Tyrol and easily transported by train.
