When autumn comes in the holiday region Merano and Environs, Dorf Tirol welcomes visitors to enjoy the traditional festival of Törggelen. In the wine taverns, cellars and inns above the roofs of Merano locals and visitors alike can gather together socially and enjoy a traditional harvest festival feast: barley soup, dumplings and cabbage, Schlutzkrapfen ravioli and smoked meat followed by sweet Bauernkrapfen and roast chestnuts and accompanied by Suser, juices and home-made wine.
