In the wine taverns, cellars and inns above the roofs of Merano locals and visitors alike can gather together socially and enjoy a traditional harvest festival feast: barley soup, dumplings and cabbage, Schlutzkrapfen ravioli and smoked meat followed by sweet Bauernkrapfen and roast chestnuts and accompanied by Suser, juices and home-made wine. Since time immemorial, Törggelen time in Tirolo has been dedicated entirely to indulgence and cozy togetherness with family or friends.
