Hike to the Schwåmmplouder (waterfall in Dorf Tirol)

General description

Easy hike through the mixed forest above Dorf Tirol/Tirolo to the Schwåmmplouder. The Schwåmmplouder is a stream pool or basin before a little waterfall. Ideal for a leisurely hike on hot summer's days.

Route description

The starting point of this hike is the “Pamer Kreuz” bus stop above the Hochmuth cable car valley station. There, turn right and follow the Apple Path until the first crossroads. Here turn left onto the Kuens walkway and follow it until the first turn-off to Kuens/Caines. At the fork keep left and continue along the path for another approx. 15 minutes until you reach your destination, the Schwåmmplouder.

The return journey follows the old village irrigation channel. At the Schwåmmplouder continue along the path. After a short ascent, turn left at the first turn-off. From there the path leads to the bus stop near Hotel Lechner.

Here take the bus back into the centre of the village or follow the road to the Hochmuth cable car valley station. It is a good 20 minutes on foot into the centre of the village.
