From the Rappenhof farm parking lot above the Magdfeld mountain village follow the steep old path (southwest) first through a shady grove then then over some mountain meadows leading to the enchanting Faglsalm mountain pasture (4). From there, ascend (southwest) around 125 m to the Faglssee mountain lake (4). Then cross over a steep slope to reach the summit, which offers some magnificent views.
The return via the Saltauser Joch ridge brings you back to the Faglsalm (4). From there continue (eastwards) across the mountain ridge (6) and then head northeast (6a). Further down turn right and descend along a steep incline for about 150 meters before continuing (northeast) along the slope to the Naserhof farm. The road (northwards) takes you back to the Rappenhof parking lot.

Coming from Merano into the Passeier Valley in the direction of St. Martin. Approx. 1 km before St. Martin follow the left mountain road to Magdfeld. After the Magdfeld inn, continue into the valley until you reach the parking lot at the Rappenhof farm.
Parking is available at the parking lot at the Rappenhöfe after Magdfeld.
There is no public bus to Magdfeld. For this tour you need a car to get to the starting point.
