Directions

Your hike starts at Römerkehre (1,966 m), the highest hairpin bend below the Jaufenpass on the Passeiertal Valley side. From here, initially follow the forest road no. 12A for about 30 minutes to alpine pasture Flecknerhütte (2,100 m). Continue along hiking trail no. 12A, climbing towards Glaitner Joch (2,249 m), then follow trail no. 12 along the steep mountain meadow to the panoramic Glaitner Hochjoch (2,389 m). From Flecknerhütte, you need approximately 1.5 hours to reach the summit, where you can enjoy breathtaking views over the Passeiertal Valley.

From the summit, follow the ridge along trail no. 12 down to Schlattacher Joch (Schloter Joch – 2,268 m) and continue towards a higher section of the ridge. Passing two small lakes, you reach the idyllic Übelsee lake (2,313 m) after about 30 minutes in total from the summit. From the lake, descend in around 15 minutes via trail no. 15B to Wiedler Alm Alp (2,170 m). From there, follow trail no. 15 with no major changes in elevation and reach Hochalm (2,174 m) in around 1 hour and 20 minutes.

From Hochalm, follow trail no. 14 to Egger-Grub-Alm Alp (1,943 m). Then cross the meadow into the forest and descend along a somewhat steeper section until you reach the forest road leading from Stuls up to the Stuller Mahdern. Follow this road to the Hochegg parking area, then take the forest path to Morx Puite. Finally, follow the last section downhill along the forest road to your destination, Stuls (1,317 m). The entire section from Hochalm to Stuls takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
