The hiking area around the Spronser Lakes Plateau
The colorful Spronser Lakes Plateau is located northwest of Dorf Tirol, in the middle of the Texel Group Nature Park, between 2,117 and 2,589 meters above sea level. The largest high-altitude lake plateau in the Eastern Alps consists of ten high-mountain lakes, which are undoubtedly among the most beautiful alpine lakes in the entire Alps. Some of the names – Langsee, Grünsee, Schwarzsee, and Schiefersee – reveal the size and the vibrant colors of the waters. 🌊💧
Not only the flora and fauna around the Spronser Lakes above Dorf Tirol is fascinating. An incredible spectacle awaits hikers as they see a group of chamois 🦌 running over the rocks and hear the whistles of marmots 🐾. At night, the starry sky 🌌 from up here is a unique show, which already captivated our ancient ancestors. Near the Oberkaser Hut, prehistoric rock carvings ⛏️ can be found, depicting the movement of the stars. 🌌
