One of the most popular attractions in the Val d’Ultimo/Ultental Valley is located on a forest hill above the village of San Pancrazio/St.Pankraz right at the valley’s entrance – the quaint St. Helena Kirchlein church. The Ultental Valley Foklore Museum in San Nicolò/St. Nikolaus gives insight into the everyday life of farmers.
At the Bergauf wool manufacturers in Pracupola/Kuppelwies, women farmers create fine felt and wool products. A must see is the Lahnersaege Visitor Centre. Near the museum is the area where the valley’s giant trees, the Ancient Larch Trees (Ultner Urlärchen), planted their roots 2000 years ago.
