The Val d’Ultimo/Ultental Valley, at the foothills of the Ortler mountain range, is a popular
mountain tour destination. A variety of trails in the area lead to
mountain lakes and
high alpine pastures and
mountain huts located above the tree line.
Demanding high alpine tours lead to the Weissbrunnsee lake at the end of the valley, as well as to the Hintere
Eggenspitze (3,443m a.s.l.) and the
Zufrittspitze (3,439m a.s.l.) mountains.
