In winter some sections of the route may be covered in snow or ice.
The path is not suitable for pushchairs.
Starting at the Tourist Office head towards the village center to the bank (Sparkasse/Cassa di Risparmio). Take a left turn, and go as far as the fire station. Walk up the Feldbauernweg/Via dei contadini road before turning right and follow the signs to Matatz (trail no. 7). About halfway, the path joins up with the Merano High Mountain Trail (Meraner Höhenweg – no. 24) leading all the way to Valtelehof. Return to the point of departure going back the same way.
From Meran/Merano to the Passeiertal Valley in direction of Timmelsjoch Mountain Pass/Jaufenpass Mountain Pass until St. Martin/S. Martino.
