The Val d’Ultimo/Ultental Valley is a pristine and pastoral valley not far from the spa town of Merano/Meran in South Tyrol/Südtirol. The valley offers numerous hiking trails along steep meadows, dense forests and mountain lakes with crystal clear water. Near to the lakes are ancient wells and mineral springs, and the head of the valley leads up to the unique Silfserjoch National Park. Traditional mountain huts serve regional meals made from fresh local ingredients. The popular Schwemmalm ski area in Ultental Valley is ideal for skiers and snowboarders, and also offers special facilities for children and younger gusts, including a brand-new Bagjump, a giant air cushion.

The Val d’Ultimo/Ultental Valley is one of South Tyrol’s most unique valleys, stretching from the village of San Pancrazio/St.Pankraz in the east to Santa Valburga/St.Walburg, San Nicolò/St.Nikolaus and Santa Geltrude/St.Gertraud, and leading to the Stilfser Joch National Park.
