Alpine Tour to the Ilmenspitze

General description
The Ilmenspitze is one of the most prominent and most visited mountains in the southern ridge of the Ulten Valley. At the summit you are rewarded with a special view of the glaciers at the head of the Ulten valley, but also of the mighty mountain massifs of the Brenta and Adamello groups.
Route description
The tour starts in St. Nikolaus (district heating plant) and leads first along hiking trail no. 18 and then along the forest road to the Auerberg alpine hut (1,647 m), which is managed from mid-June to mid-September.
From there we follow the marking No. 18 to Seefeld alpine hut (not managed) and finally to the summit.
