Töll – Forst – Marling – Tscherms – Lana

The walk starts at the Adige weir / Hydro-electricity station in Töll. Close to the weir, opposite the car park along the main road, begins the Marling irrigation channel path, one of the most scenic and at the same time the longest irrigation channel paths in South Tyrol.

The route follows the historic irrigation channel almost entirely on level ground, running along the slopes of the Marling mountain above the villages of Forst, Marling and Tscherms. Along the way, chestnut groves and extensive orchards open up wide views over the Merano basin and the surrounding landscape.

After around 12 kilometres, the irrigation channel path reaches the village of Lana, where the walk ends. The return to Töll is easy and convenient by public bus via Merano.
