Baobab Experience was born in Rome in the belief in freedom of movement, in the urgency to protect and promote the rights of those who, due to wars, terrorism, persecution, hunger, famine or in the human propensity for happiness, leave their homeland to start a new life somewhere else.

It all began at the height of the great migratory flows of 2015-2016 when a group of citizens rallied to assist the migrants who were passing through Rome at that time on their way to other European destinations. The Capitoline administration was not ready to manage the emergency and so Baobab Experience acted as an informal first reception hub and info-point for migrants in transit: we will discover what Baobab Experience has become today with founder Andrea Costa.
