Film in Italian: Eddie the Eagle

Inspired by the true story of Eddie Edwards, the film tells the story of an unusual athlete who wants to achieve his dream: to compete in ski jumping and represent Great Britain at the Winter Olympics. In 1973, despite his physical problems and his parents' constant opposition, little Eddie nurtures his dream of competing in the most prestigious of competitions, the Olympics. Growing up, he discovers the discipline of ski jumping, a category now abandoned by England, and decides to apply for the qualifiers in Germany and represent Great Britain at the 1988 Calgary Olympics.
