Once a year, the historic courtyard of the Tower of Gaudenz in Partschins transforms into a little paradise for those who cherish the authentic things in life. At the “Olls hondgmocht” market – South Tyrolean dialect for “everything handmade” – it’s all about creativity, flavour and handcrafted passion.
Among blooming flowers and shrubs, surrounded by ancient walls and the charm of bygone days, more than 35 stalls invite visitors to browse, marvel and linger. Fine ceramics, fragrant herbal products, playful wooden jewellery, handmade fashion and accessories, unique decorative items made from glass, paper, stone, porcelain or Swiss pine – every piece is a small work of art. For children too, there’s plenty to discover: clothes, toys and colourful creations.
And the culinary delights? Truly special: juicy pulled pork burgers, vegetarian cheese-herb dumplings or freshly baked farmhouse bread – all lovingly prepared with regional ingredients. You'll also find cheese from the local dairy, fine distillates, honey & bee products, apple juice, jams, chutneys, herbal salts and more. All genuine. All “hondgmocht”.
