The Marlengo Waalweg irrigation path

General description

The MarlWaalweg path is, without doubt, one of the loveliest and most popular paths in the area. With its 12 km. length, it is also the longest Waalweg in South Tyrol.

Route description

Tour Start
Töll/Tel,  Etsch Dam
Tour End
Lana, Central bus-station, Meraner Straße.

Starting the "Marlinger Waalweg" at the Töll Dam on the Etsch River, then the path goes on above the town of Marling/Marlengo and past Tscherms/Cermes and it ends in Lana. It stays at an even level as it meanders along the water irrigation channel and is ideal for families with small children. It is lined with chestnut trees and extensive fruit orchards and gives wonderful panorama views out over the entire Meran/o basin.
