This label confirms that our destination has been certified according to an internationally recognised standard. The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) defines globally valid criteria to promote responsible, resource-efficient and culturally respectful tourism in South Tyrol.
For visitors, it is a clear sign that a destination is working credibly and in line with international guidelines towards a sustainable future.
South Tyrol Sustainable
The South Tyrol Sustainability Label is a visible sign of responsibly managed accommodation providers, destinations and tourism businesses. It indicates that a business or destination implements a wide range of measures in the areas of environmental protection, regional value creation, energy, mobility and social responsibility.
Certified by Vireo
The certification is carried out by Vireo Srl, an independent international certification body for sustainability standards. Vireo reviews measures, processes and progress – and confirms that the defined criteria are actually implemented.
