On the trail of the ing eni ous inventor and pi oneer of the typewriting machine Peter Mitterhofer, the moust famous Parcines/Partschins-born!
This culture trail is a journey through the history of the towns of Töll/Tel, Rabland/Rablà and Partschins/Parcines. Follow the Roman road - Via Claudia Augusta - to the old roman bathing place of Bad Egart (now the K.u.K. Museum Bad Egart), past many churches and the buildings where the noble gentry resided, all the way to typewriter inventor Peter Mitterhofer’s home and museum!

Starting at the Tel Dam on the Adige River, follow the Adige Cycling Path on the Via Claudia Augusta to Tel Ponte. Cross the bridge and continue along the Bahnhofstraße road up to the K.u.K. Imperial and Royal Bad Egart Museum. Continue along the "Badlweg" Trail and on to the Saringer Bridge in Rablà/ Rabland.
Turn left, along Cutraunstraße Street to the Vingschgauer Hauptstraße (the main Venosta Valley road) leading through Rablà. Following the main road in the direction of Merano, turn left to the Lahnstraße Road then right into Hans Guet Straße street and to Route No. 1 through fields and woods to the Texelbahn Cableway valley station. The route leads along Peter Mitterhofer Street past the birthplace of the famous inventor, Peter Mitterhofer, into the town center of Parcines. Passing Kichplatz Square and the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, continue along the Hubenstraße road where you can visit the well-preserved ancient Roman tomb. Bend to the right along the old Roman Trade road and then left into Zehentstraße road towards Tel. Turn left to the field along Vertigen and return to the Adige Dam at Tel.

From Merano : the Venosta Valley Train to the Tel Railway station or Bus 213 to Tel (bus stop close to dam, near the Zollwirt and Weisses Rössl taverns)
From Venosta valley: the Venosta Valley Train to the Tel train station or Bus 251 to Tel (bus stop close to the dam near the Hotel Edelweiss)
