General description
This scenic hike leads from the sunny Nörderberg down to the historic farms of Quadrat and on to Rabland. Thanks to the Aschbach cable car, the ascent is skipped, allowing the tour to start in the charming mountain village of Aschbach at 1,362 metres. Forest paths, traditional cultural landscapes and historical sites make this one of the most enjoyable ways to explore the Nörderberg.

Aschbach mountain station – Mahlbach – Quadrat – Brünnl restaurant – Gramegg restaurant – Niederhof restaurant – Badlweg path – Bad Egart museum/restaurant – Aschbach valley station
The hike begins with a cable car ride from Rabland up to the mountain village of Aschbach at 1,362 metres. From the mountain station, follow trail 27A along a forest road through woodland to the junction with trail 27.
Continue on trail 30 to Mahlbach (1,218 m, water reservoir). Then follow trail 29 for about ten minutes until the forest road forks. Keep right and descend via the forest road in around 25 minutes to trail 9.
Turning left downhill on trail 9, you reach the historic lime kiln of Quadrat. The route continues to the Brünnl restaurant and then to the Gramegg restaurant.
Following the asphalt road, the path passes the Niederhof restaurant and reaches the junction with the road to Aschbach. Here, take trail 29A to the Badlweg (Töll forest path), which leads past the K.u.K. Museum Bad Egart/restaurant and finally to the Aschbach cable car valley station, where the hike ends.
