Rabland Railway Station – Organic Farm Niedereben – trail 25 – Rittersteig (trail 1) - Fröschlweg themed trail - Dornsberg Castle – Naturns Sports Ground

The hike begins at Rabland railway station. From here, follow the road to the left uphill for a short steep section until reaching the organic farm Niedereben (634 m). Here, trail 25 begins, leading first downhill through woodland to the road.

After a short stretch on the road, turn left and rejoin trail 25 towards Plaus.

The path continues through orchards and shaded forest sections. One part of the route follows the Fröschlweg themed trail.After a short stretch along the road towards Naturns, turn left onto the Rittersteig (trail 1).Soon you reach the romantically situated Dornsberg Castle.

The Rittersteig leads comfortably through woodland to the sports ground in Naturns, where the hike ends.

Important: There are no refreshment stops along the route – please bring sufficient water.ol alternative to the sunny Sonnenberg slope, especially recommended on warm days

Highlights of the Hike:

-Dornsberg Castle (also known as Tarantsberg)

Built in 1217 by the noble family of Tarant as their ancestral seat.

The castle cannot be visited.
