A circular hike on the mountain must be well planned!
The best-known circular hiking trails are the European Long Distance Trail E5 from Oberstorf (D) to Bozen/Bolzano, the Dolomites High Trail, the Pfunderer High Trail, the South Tyrolean Way of St. James from Winnebach to Müstair.
But one of the most beautiful is and remains the Merano High MountainTrail (marking no. 24), as it circles the entire Texel Group Nature Park and provides an insight into untouched flora and fauna.
Of the numerous long-distance hiking trails, the Merano High Mountain Trail is one of the few that can be hiked as a circular trail and you can stop off and spend the night in the most beautiful huts and alpine pastures along the way.
