The Marlengo Waalweg irrigation path

The Marlengo Waalweg irrigation path is, without doubt, one of the loveliest and most popular paths in the area. With its 12 km. length, it is also the longest Waalweg in South Tyrol.

Tour Start
Tel,  Adige Dam
Tour End
Lana, Central bus-station, Meraner Straße.

Directions
Starting at the Tel Dam on the Adige River,  in the Parcines council area, above Foresta in the Lagundo parish, then on over Marlengo and past Cermes as far as Lana. It stays at an even level as it meanders along the water irrigation channel and is ideal for families with small children. It is lined with chestnut trees and extensive fruit orchards and gives wonderful panorama views out over the entire Merano basin.
It is especially recommended for springtime when the apple trees are in full blossom and also in autumn when the trees are a myriad of different fall colours.
