Hausfreunde

For approx. 50 pieces

4 eggs
250 g sugar
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
Zest of 1 lemon
330 g flour type 00
½ sachet baking powder
80 g chopped hazelnuts
50 g pinoli
100 g candied fruit (candied orange peel, candied lemon peel), finely chopped
70 g sultanas (can also be omitted)

Mix all the ingredients together and spread onto a baking tray lined with baking paper to a thickness of approx. 1 cm. Bake at approx. 180° for approx. 25/30 minutes until golden brown. Cut into bite-sized pieces while still hot and leave to cool.

Our tip
You can also refine the Hausfreunde with chocolate icing or lemon icing.
