Various legends and stories revolve around cheese and its origins. Could it be true that some varieties were discovered purely by chance or even due to the dairy master's forgetfulness? One person who is deeply knowledgeable and enjoys sharing his extensive expertise is Andreas Österreicher. Every Tuesday, the certified cheese sommelier invites guests to tastings at his home. During these sessions, he provides fascinating insights into South Tyrol's cheese world, demonstrates how to recognize and accurately describe flavor notes, and explains why investing in origin and quality when buying cheese is worthwhile. He also reveals how to perfectly combine cheese with other foods. With wine, chocolate, fruits, or beer – the harmony must be right.
