Mountain bike trails lead from Schenna along pine forests and pastures and past rustic mountain huts and shelters before reaching the alpine summits at 2,500m a.s.l.. There are numerous scenic spots for cyclists to stop for a break and enjoy panoramic views of the Passeier Valley/Val Passiria, the Hirzer mountain hiking area, the Meran/Merano 2000 recreational zone, and the nearby Schennaberg mountain hiking area.
Cyclists can access the southern part of South Tyrol with the Etschtalradweg cycle path. This cycling tour leads from Val Venosta/Vinschgau Valley via the spa town of Merano/Meran through orchards and on to Verona. The South Tyrolean section runs largely in parallel to the ancient Via Claudia Augusta trade route.
