Pleasant alpine walk to Hirzerhütte Cabin

This easy family hike leads on a flat and wide path to the Hirzerhütte Cabin. Beautifully located, the cabin is surrounded by alpine meadows and feature an incredible view over the Texel Range. As well as cows, alpacas also spend their summer here at the Hirzerhütte.

Directions

From Klammeben (Hirzer Cable Car mountain station) walk about 20 minutes on trail no. 40 to the Hirzerhütte. The return journey is via the same route back to the Hirzer Cable Car mountain station.

If you use the Verdins cable car as an ascent aid, you can take the nostalgic Grube chairlift up to the Grube Inn. From there, you can reach the Klammeben by taking the left-hand hiking trail No. 8A in 30 minutes with altitude difference of 170 meters and continue the hike to the Hirzerhütte.
ATTENTION: This variant is neither suitable for strollers nor barrier-free.

From Merano in the direction of Passeiertal Valley and on to Saltaus to the valley station oft the cable car Hirzer.
