Orchid World Raffeiner

Have you ever dreamed of being a tropical explorer without leaving South Tyrol?

The orchid world in Gargazon is an exotic paradise with over 10,000 plants and around 500 different orchid species. It is much more than just an exhibition – it is a sensory experience and an ideal destination for families and nature lovers.

You will find a lush tropical landscape filled with thousands of orchids in brilliant colors and intoxicating scents. Cheerful parrots, colorful butterflies dancing from bloom to bloom (from April to October), turtles, and a tropical pond with numerous koi carp bring this place to life and make it truly unique.

Thoughtfully designed paths and themed areas guide you through the fascinating world of orchids. Discover how they grow, develop, and are cared for, while learning exciting facts about these extraordinary plants.

Embark on a special sensory journey – where seeing, smelling, hearing, and feeling merge into an immersive natural experience.

New in 2026 – our redesigned orangery and a photo exhibition featuring visitors’ memories

Immerse yourself in the intense fragrance of the orangery and enjoy a sensory stroll filled with citrus notes. An exclusive photo exhibition captures the interplay of light and nature in unique moments – an experience for your eyes and nose that you should not miss.
