Open air theater (in german language) in Lana
Lana Open-Air Theatre 30th Anniversary. It's just over 30 years since the Lana Open-Air Plays (Freilichtspiele Lana) began staging their productions at the Capuchin Garden. Thanks to a grand cast of professionals, Amateur actors and emerging talents, the South Tyrolean theatre scene has attained new heights, as exemplified in works such as "Alpträumer" (2009), and modern film classics such as "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" (2016). The young theatre director Stefanie Nagler has worked in Lana since 2018, staging seldom performed 20th century works in the past two years: "Romulus the Great" by Friedrich Dürrenmatt and "The Suicide" by Nikolai Erdmann. The Performances take place in German language.
The Capuchin Garden in the center of Lana was included in the much-appreciated list of performance venues and will again be utilised in 2020.
