On the Merano High Mountain Trail to the historic historic mountain farms of the Partschins Sonnenberg

The combination of Merano High Mountain Trail n° 24, magnificent and impressive panoramic views, historic mountain farms and colourful larch forests make this tour one of the most beautiful autumn hikes on the Partschins Sonnenberg.

From the Texelbahn cableway mountain station you follow the famous Merano High Path n° 24 in the direction of the Hochforch-Hof (1,555 m). Follow a tarred road, turn left and follow trail n° 25. through meadows and larch forests, passing the Platter-Hof (1,194 m) and then the Ausergrubhof (Grubhof, 1,121 m). Passing the Ausergrubhof (Grubhof) you follow trail n° 39 along the mountain slope towards the Winklerhof farm/inn. The trail leads past a rest area with a wonderful panoramic view (original name "Unterwenter Rast"). Before the suspension bridge turn right and follow trail n° 1 along the Zielbach stream to the Texelbahn cableway valley station.

Description to arrive at destination

The starting points of our hiking tours can be reached comfortably and in an environmentally friendly way by bus and train. With the South Tyrol Guest Pass, all public transport throughout South Tyrol can be used free of charge – no need to search for parking. Parking

Texelbahn valley station, Via Ziel, Rabland/Rablà
All-day, in the designated parking area. Campers only between 7.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m.
The car park at the Partschins cemetery is reserved for cemetery visitors and funerals. We ask you to respect this!
