The new "Refill Südtirol" Campaign is designed to sensitise hikers (both local and visitors) to adopt environmentally-friendly habits. People should know that here in our region, tap water is good to drink. Water bottles can be filled again and again with tap water from the mountains. The volume of plastic waste is thus reduced, and reusable water bottles may even eventually replace plastic containers altogether.
For the "Refill Südtirol" campaign, the Schenna Tourism Association has supplied a number of stainless-steel water bottles that can be purchased at the Schenna Tourist Office, as well as at a number of other outlets. The Schenna Municipality has also contributed to the campaign, providing the public with a number of new drinking fountains in and around the centre.
