Authors in Merano in German: Meeting with Mark Benecke Murders, mummies and maggots: a crime scene tour. Moderator: Patrick Rina.
Dr Mark Benecke is a publicly certified and sworn expert in biological evidence in violent crimes resulting in death. He teaches internationally, including in the USA, Vietnam, Colombia and the Philippines, and has worked at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Manhattan. Benecke is also known for his TV appearances on National Geographic, the History Channel and n-tv, as well as his guest commentaries on ‘Medical Detectives’ and ‘Autopsie - Mysteriöse Todesfälle’, where he explains the scientific background in a lucid manner. Explains the scientific background in a clear way. Benecke has published several popular science books, including on criminal cases, criminal biology and ageing from a biomedical perspective.
