The magic of automatons in an exhibition curated by the Girovago and Rondella family of artists. Opening: Friday, 29 May, 6.00 pm. Free entry.

As part of Asfaltart – Street Art Festival 2026.
A dreamlike journey into the creative universe of Girovago and Rondella, where puppetry becomes a philosophy of life and a family art form. The exhibition reveals the vital energy behind each work, exploring imaginary and surreal worlds that blend the playful with the poetic, the visual with the narrative. Each automaton is a synthesis of decades of craftsmanship, aesthetic sensibility and respect for the essence of things, transforming emotions and journeys into moving objects. A unique, artisanal and wordless style that captivates young and old alike, telling stories through the magic of movement.

Approach

At Merano train station take either the bus no. 1 or bus no. 4 and get off at the Elisabeth Park stop at via Cavour.

From the city center you can reach the Culture Centre with a 5-minute walk or in just a few minutes by bike, following the cycle path that runs along the Ponte della Posta bridge and passes the Sissi statue.
