The ‘Quartetto Merano’ will create a musical memorial to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day with JazzYiddish. Yiddish culture, language and music were largely lost along with the people who suffered the Holocaust. Now, only the written and musical records from the archives of the former Soviet Union, which have become accessible in recent decades, have enabled a more comprehensive rediscovery of the world of the Eastern Jewish shtetl. The people who emigrated to the West once shaped the Europe we know and cherish today. Sounds of a lost world that reconnect us emotionally!
