Scoprire Marlengo

🍂🍷 Törggelen Season in South Tyrol – Enjoy Tradition, Food & Fun!

When the leaves turn golden and the days grow shorter, the favorite time of the South Tyroleans begins: Törggelen! 🌰🥨
A centuries-old tradition celebrating conviviality and joy of life – from the new wine to hearty specialties and roasted chestnuts. 🍇🔥
Originally a gathering of farmers after the autumn harvest, it has become a festive tradition: barley soup, smoked sausages, alpine cheese, cabbage with dumplings, house sausages, cured meat, krapfen & chestnuts – all served with the fresh new wine. 🍷

Fun fact: “Törggelen” comes from the Torggl, an old grape press. You can still see one at the Mauerbam-Hof in Naturns! 🏡✨

Events & highlights in Naturns:
Every Wednesday in October: traditional Törggelen afternoons at the village fountain
Highlight: the big Törggelen festival! 🎉

Experience South Tyrolean tradition and cuisine as it has been celebrated for centuries! 💛

🌿✨ Aschbach – Peace and relaxation at 1,360 m

High above the valley, nestled in the lush green mountain meadows, lies the idyllic Algund mountain village Aschbach. 🚶‍♀️🏞️ At 1,360 m above sea level, Aschbach offers the perfect retreat, away from hustle and bustle, where peace and relaxation come naturally. 🧘‍♂️💚

The village is easily accessible via a 12 km mountain road or with the Aschbach cable car from Rabland/Saring. 🚡🌄

The sights include the Maria Schnee chapel, built in 1695, and the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, constructed in 1886. ⛪️ The peaceful atmosphere, seclusion, and green natural surroundings make Aschbach the most sustainable part of Algund, as it is barely traveled by cars. 🌱

Aschbach is also the ideal starting point for numerous hikes, such as to Vigiljoch, Naturnser Alm, or to the Schwarze Lacke, a black moor lake. 🌳

In this part of Algund, nature becomes an experience – quiet, sustainable, and genuine! 💚
