Ski Tour to "Glaitner Hochjoch" Peak (2,389 m)

Easy ski tour to the panoramic summit of "Glaitner Hochjoch".

Starting point: Stuls

End point: Stuls

Season: Throughout the winter season

Directions

From the Raffein-Höfe farms above Stuls, ascend along a forest track on the right to a clearing in the woods. The terrain then becomes wide and open. Continue across the slope in broad zigzags until you reach the increasingly steep summit slope. Keep to the right here and cross the ridge to "Glaitner Hochjoch".

Descent: Follow the ascent route back down into the valley.

Recommended equipment

Carry the necessary safety equipment, including an avalanche transceiver, avalanche shovel and probe. Depending on the route and conditions, a helmet, ski crampons and additional equipment may also be required.

Wear warm, weather-appropriate clothing and suitable ski touring equipment. Take sufficient water and food with you and plan your tour so that you return in good time, preferably before nightfall.

Parking

• Coming from Meran towards the Passeiertal Valley, take the Jaufenstraße SS44 to St. Leonhard, continue on the Timmelsjochstraße to Moos. After Moos, turn right and continue to Stuls

• Coming from the Timmelsjoch, take the Timmelsjochstraße until just before Moos, then turn left and continue to Stuls

• Coming from the Jaufenpass towards St. Leonhard, take the Jaufenstraße SS44, continue on the Timmelsjochstraße towards Moos and further along the Timmelsjochstraße. After Moos, turn right and continue to Stuls

Parking is available in the car park from Raffein-Höfe farms
