Easy winter hike in Walten.

Starting point: Auerhof in Walten

End point: Auerhof in Walten

Refreshment points: Auerhof Farm Inn

Directions

Your hike starts at the Auerhof farm inn in Walten. First, cross the stream and then turn left onto trail no. 12, following the valley towards Wans.

Follow the forest road at a leisurely pace, initially along the edge of the forest and then through dense coniferous woodland. Stay on the forest road throughout; at the next fork, it continues as trail no. 14. Follow it at a relaxed pace until you reach the picturesque church near the Wanserhof inn.

The return journey follows the same route as the way there.

Take enough water and food with you and plan your hike so that you return before it gets dark.

Check the current trail conditions in advance and take note of any closures or avalanche warnings.
