Merano High Mountain Trail
Companies and Accommodation
Malga di Tablá
The Tablander Alm is a mountain pasture at 1751m sea-height near the Naturnser Nörderberg. It is located on the Naturnser Almenweg trail and on one of Vinschgau’s uphill trails for mountain bikers and therefore perfect for anybody, who wants to enjoy a nice day in the mountains.
By starting at the parking place Schartegg (accessible by car from the Hotel Winkler in Tschars in the direction of Tomberg), you can reach the Tablander Alm in about 1-1½ hours hiking. Another possibility is to start at Tabland and follow the path nr.5 through the Schleidertal (about 3 hours walking time). The paths lead through impressing landscapes and allow every now and then beautiful views at the peaks of the Texel Group and the Ötztal Alps.
It is open from the beginning of May to the end of October and offers traditional South Tyrolean specialities.
