General description
A moderately difficult family hike on the Schennaberg to Holznerhof Farm. Countless animals live here on the farm: cows, calves, pigs, hens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits and the Bernese mountain dog, Sheila.
Route description
To begin with, follow the road towards Schennaberg from Pichler Inn (Taser Cable Car
valley station) as far as the fork with trail no. 16 and then uphill to Vallplatz. We then hike along the farm track to the Holznerhof. The return journey is via the access road until the route branches off on trail no. 20 just before the Holzner Säge sawmill and then leads back to Pichler Inn. A shorter variant for the return journey is trail no. 20A, which goes steeply downhill direct from the Holznerhof to Pichler in 30 minutes.
