Open your eyes! Guided tour: Trout Matrimony

In autumn, a fascinating natural spectacle takes place along the Passirio river: the ‘trout wedding’. Participation is for free, and no booking required.

With Andreas Riedl, an expert in aquatic ecology.
The trout migrate to calm side streams to spawn there. This behaviour is crucial to the survival of the native marbled trout and highlights the Passer as a valuable, sensitive habitat for many species.
Approach
From the station, take bus no. 1 or 4 to the Parco Marconi stop.
