Thriller & Drum & Art

An evening that uniquely combines literature, sound, and art.

On Friday, October 9, 2026, at 7:30 PM, the Naturns Library will be the venue for a special cultural evening.

THRILLER

Renowned author Holger J. August will read from his latest South Tyrolean thriller TOTENTANZ – dark, intense, and full of twists.

ABOUT THE CONTENT

Set against an alpine backdrop, a gripping story unfolds: Brixen reporter Marie Pichler finds herself caught in a whirlwind of violence and mystery. A young influencer is brutally attacked in Bolzano, a jeweler is murdered in Brixen, a retired priest is found dead in Eppan, and a corpse appears under mysterious circumstances in Franzensfeste. Marie’s mentor, former star journalist Tom Bauer, suspects a connection – triggered by a discovery he made during his vacation. If his theory holds true, the trail leads to a well-known series of images in the lower Vinschgau valley. Marie and Tom take up the investigation and find themselves in a hunt for a psychopath. Then, Marie suffers a hard blow…

DRUM

The tension is amplified live by Ulrike Moritz, who creates an atmosphere with drum & sound that gets under your skin.

PLAUS TOTENTANZ

Following this, Heinrich Kainz (Naturns-Plaus Local Heritage Association) will present the publication PLAUSER TOTENTANZ by Luis Stefan Stecher – an impressive insight into local cultural history.

OPENING CEREMONY:

To conclude, we invite you to the official opening of the exhibition “Play Me the Song of … LIFE” by Naturns artists Daniela Rieder & Karin Thaler. The exhibition features a selection of photography, acrylic painting, and mixed media techniques.
