ALPS MOVE 2026 UP CLOSE Anastasia Kostner

The Alps Move dance theatre festival presents Up Close, a performance by the Val Gardena-based dancer and choreographer Anastasia Kostner. Nine performers move within a space that breaks down the traditional separation between the audience and the stage, creating an immersive dance performance that explores proximity, perception and the delicate balance between the individual and the collective. Audience and performers share the same space, coming together in an environment where glances, breaths and the slightest movements become part of the choreography. The work explores how proximity transforms our perception and what dynamics emerge when people move within the same space. Within this complex and multi-layered choreographic organism, whilst retaining their own identities, individual voices and movements gradually intertwine to give life to a collective body, constructed with rigorous compositional precision.
