Summit conqueror to the Schröfwand at 2,809 m

You start in Vernagt, trail no. 18 first leads you through the forest, across the pastures and up in serpentines until shortly before the summit. From then on, the path leads over easily accessible scree and rock. You always have the summit cross in front of you on the ascent. After a tough ascent (3 hours), you will be rewarded with a rewarding panoramic view over the Vernagt reservoir and the surrounding 3,000 metre peaks. The descent is via the Gfallhof back to Vernagt.

Additional information: difficult hike; good physical condition and a head for heights are required, walking time: 6 - 7 hours, 1150 metres ascent and descent
