The President of the Republic, Mariano De Santis, is now an elderly man nearing the end of his term of office. A widower, former lawyer and devout Catholic, he finds himself faced with two final dilemmas: whether to grant a pardon to two people who committed murder under circumstances that might be considered mitigating, or whether to enact the law on euthanasia.

*LA GRAZIA* is a film marking a new collaboration between Sorrentino and Toni Servillo, offering an unusual perspective on power and its fragility. “A love story”, as the director has described it.
