Book presentation - Die Suldenstrasse in german language
For the Stelvio Pass Road’s 200th anniversary in 2025, Franz G. Angerer discovered 300+ original documents on the Solda Road (1890–1912). In german language.
On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Stelvio Pass Road (2025), Franz G. Angerer discovered more than 300 original documents in his family's archive relating to the construction of the Solda Road (1890–1912). Complemented by material from other private archives, the book reconstructs an almost forgotten chapter of South Tyrol's history and serves as a historical study, a work of cultural remembrance, and a tribute to a heritage that continues to resonate to the present day.
Approach
From the train station, the most convenient option is to board one of the city lines (1 or 4) to reach the "Trauttmansdorff" stop.
