When Carla Nowak, the new maths and PE teacher at a German secondary school, decides to take the initiative to find out who is responsible for the thefts that have taken place at the school, she does so with the best of intentions. First and foremost, she wants to put an end to the practice of interrogating innocent students and free them from the shadow of prejudice that hangs over them.
