Movie in German language: Vaterland - Fatherland

In 1949, after 16 years in exile, the writer Thomas Mann sets off on a journey through Germany with his daughter Erika. He is due to receive the Goethe Prize in Weimar and deliver a speech, as people on both sides of the inner-German border are hoping for words of comfort and forgiveness. Whilst Thomas Mann is both feted and vilified during his journey, the drama within his own family begins to escalate slowly.
