We start at St. Michael’s Chapel in Mazzon, at an altitude of around 400 m. From there, the trail leads past the ruins of Kaldiff (not open to visitors) and continues via the Kuckuckshof farm to the Gsteigerhof inn at an altitude of 890 m, where there is an opportunity to stop for refreshments.
The route then continues to the Kanzel, a beautiful panoramic viewpoint at around 1,000 m above sea level. From there, the trail descends gently along a forest road to the Mazzon panoramic trail and continues to the Barthenau-Foradori Winery or St. Michael’s Chapel, where the bus will pick us up again.
Ascent: approx. 650 m
Walking time: approx. 4.5 hours
Difficulty: moderate – a reasonable level of fitness is required
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the Tourist office will cancel free of charge.
In case of cancellation, the participation fee can only be returned, if the cancellation is made within 17.00 of the previous day.
