Book presentation in German language: „Oh! Meran“

In an interview with Folio publisher Hermann Gummerer, Anita Rossi presents her new travel book, "Oh! Meran". Free entry. Register at office@folioverlag.com.

“I am a child of this city. For a long time, I couldn’t bring myself to write about Merano. The places of those first experiences were too close to home – the first scraped knees, the first kiss, that magical time when you could still become anything and change everything.”
Merano revisited.

“Merano doesn’t need to be trendy or be marketed as a #dreamdestination,” writes Anita Rossi.

In *Oh! Merano*, she writes about bilingualism and a sense of belonging, wine festivals and botanical gardens, thermal baths, contemporary art, architecture and subculture – and about a town that combines Alpine down-to-earthness with Mediterranean lightness in a way all of its own.

In conversation with Folio publisher Hermann Gummerer, Anita Rossi offers insights into the book and her personal perspective on her hometown. Afterwards, we’ll raise a glass together to “Oh! Meran”.

Anita Rossi, born in Merano in 1969, grew up in an Italian family and attended the German school. She now works as a freelance journalist, podcaster and documentary filmmaker, and divides her time between Brixen and Caorle. Her most recent book published by Folio is “Oh! Italy’s Upper Adriatic”.

A joint event organised by Villa Freischütz, Folio Verlag and the Alte Mühle bookshop.

Free admission. Please register at office@folioverlag.com.
