This Tuesday the hike takes us on the Schenner Waalweg.

The bus takes you to Verdins and past the church, the hike leads over the Wiesersteig and along the hiking trail that runs parallel to the Hofweg to Pichler and on to St. Georgen and Schenna.
Height difference: ↑ 100 m | ↓ 250 m
Difficulty: easy
Approach
Meeting point is the tourism office Schenna. (Erzherzog-Johann-Platz 1/D).
Arrival by public transport: Bus line 231 from Meran – get off at bus stop Schenna Dorf (about 50 m away).
You can find the schedules at www.suedtirolmobil.info or on the Schenna App!
Public parking, some paid, is available in the village centre, all within easy walking distance.
To bring along
Hiking boots, weather protection, something to drink.
For your hike, make sure you take enough water with you – ideally in a reusable water bottle. In Schenna, you can easily avoid buying single-use plastic bottles: tap water is of excellent quality and safe to drink. Reusable water bottles are available at the Schenna Tourist Office and from selected accommodation providers.
Good to know: As part of the “Refill Südtirol – Alto Adige” initiative, there are numerous designated refill stations and drinking fountains in Schenna and throughout South Tyrol. We recommend checking before your hike where you can refill your bottle along the way.
